Botox in NYC

Anatomically precise Botox by master injectors at Dr. Lanna Aesthetics — softening expression lines while protecting brow height, eye openness, and the natural way your face moves. Dr. Lanna Cheuck and the LC Medical team have placed Botox more than 10,000 times across patients who travel from across the city, the country, and the world. The result patients describe most often is "still me, but rested." That is the standard. Botox at our Midtown Manhattan flagship is a study in restraint and architecture, not paralysis. Every unit is mapped to your facial anatomy first.

WHAT BOTOX IS

Botulinum Toxin Type A — Placed With Precision

Botox is botulinum toxin type A, a purified neurotoxin that softens dynamic wrinkles by temporarily relaxing targeted facial muscles. It is FDA-approved for cosmetic use in the forehead, glabella (the "11s" between the brows), and the lateral canthus (crow's feet). Outside cosmetic FDA-approval, master injectors use Botox off-label for the masseter, neck bands, lip flip, gummy smile, and brow lift effects. The mechanism is precise: Botox blocks the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction, briefly preventing the targeted muscle from contracting. The skin overlying that muscle stops folding, so the dynamic line — the one that appears when you frown, squint, or raise your brows — softens. Static lines (those visible at rest) require time, repeated treatment, and often complementary modalities like skin boosters or resurfacing. Botox is the most-studied aesthetic injectable in the world. The technique difference is everything. At Dr. Lanna Aesthetics, master injectors approach the face as architecture: brow height, lid aperture, smile dynamics, and resting tone are mapped before the first unit is drawn. That is how a Botox treatment ends with you looking like yourself, not like you had Botox. For K-Beauty patients curious about a different goal — skin smoothness rather than muscle relaxation — see our Meso Botox page, which uses microtoxin technique into the dermis rather than into the muscle belly.

BENEFITS

What Master-Injector Botox Achieves

  • Softens dynamic forehead lines, glabellar "11s," and crow's feet — the three FDA-approved cosmetic zones, treated with anatomic mapping rather than a fixed dose template.
  • Preserves expression — master-injector dosing protects brow height, lid openness, and smile range so your face still communicates.
  • Slim the masseter for a refined lower face — off-label masseter Botox can soften jaw clenching and define the V-line in select candidates.
  • Lift the brow without surgery — strategic placement at the lateral orbicularis can open the eye area subtly.
  • Reduce a gummy smile or perform a lip flip — micro-doses to the upper lip elevators reveal more vermilion and less gum.
  • Calm neck banding — platysmal band injections smooth vertical neck cords for select candidates.
  • Investment in long-term facial harmony — consistent Botox slows the etching of static lines because the muscle is not folding the skin daily.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

Who Botox Is — And Isn't — For

Botox is appropriate for adults — typically 25 to 65 — with dynamic facial lines they want softened, or with masseter prominence, neck banding, or other off-label indications a master injector confirms during consultation. Preventative Botox (lower-dose protocols starting in the late 20s and early 30s) is increasingly common for patients who want to address lines before they etch into the skin permanently. Botox is also appropriate for patients whose existing static lines respond to a combined plan — neurotoxin to stop the folding, plus skin boosters, fillers, or resurfacing to address the existing crease. Botox is not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, in patients with neuromuscular disorders (myasthenia gravis, Lambert-Eaton syndrome, ALS), in patients with a known hypersensitivity to botulinum toxin or its excipients, or during active skin infection at the injection site. Honest expectations matter: Botox softens, it does not erase, and a master injector will tell you what Botox can and cannot accomplish for your specific face.

WHAT TO EXPECT

From Consultation Through Maintenance

  1. Consultation

Every Botox visit at Dr. Lanna Aesthetics begins with a face-mapping conversation. Your master injector watches you make expressions — frown, raise your brows, smile fully, squint — and identifies the muscles driving the lines you want softened. Brow height, lid symmetry, and resting tone are documented. Photos are taken. Your aesthetic goals — natural softening, preventative protocol, or off-label indications like masseter slimming or a lip flip — shape the dosing plan.

  2. Treatment

A typical Botox session at our Midtown flagship runs 15 to 20 minutes, including the consultation portion. The skin is cleansed with antiseptic. Topical numbing is available but most patients decline it for forehead, glabellar, and crow's-feet treatments — the needles are very fine and discomfort is brief. Each injection is precise, mapped to the muscle belly identified during your consultation. You stay upright in a chair, and most patients return to work or errands immediately.

  3. Downtime

There is no true downtime. Small bumps at injection sites resolve within 15 to 30 minutes. Mild redness is typical. Avoid lying flat, vigorous exercise, hot showers, and rubbing the treated areas for four hours. Bruising is uncommon with master-injector technique but is possible — a small dot of arnica gel can help.

  4. Results Timeline

Onset begins at three to seven days. Full effect is visible at two weeks. The result holds for approximately three to four months for most patients; metabolism, dose, and treatment area influence longevity. A small subset of patients metabolize neurotoxin faster — your master injector will discuss switching to Dysport or Xeomin if Botox underperforms in your specific case.

  5. Maintenance

Most Dr. Lanna Aesthetics patients schedule Botox every three to four months. Consistent treatment is part of why you see "natural-looking" results — the muscle never returns to full contraction strength, so static lines have less time to deepen.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Botox

  • How long does Botox last?

Three to four months on average for the FDA-approved cosmetic zones. Masseter Botox often lasts longer (four to six months); lip flips are shorter (six to eight weeks). Your individual metabolism and dose matter.

  • Will Botox make me look frozen or unnatural?

Not when placed by a master injector. The frozen look is a dosing and placement issue, not a Botox issue. Dr. Lanna's master-injector standard prioritizes preserved expression — your face should still move and communicate.

  • Is Botox safe?

Botox is the most-studied aesthetic injectable globally with decades of safety data. Side effects are generally mild and transient (small bumps, brief redness, occasional bruising). Serious complications are rare in master-injector hands and are discussed during consultation.

  • When will I see results?

Onset at three to seven days; full effect at two weeks. Plan accordingly if you have an event — book Botox at least two weeks in advance.

  • What does Botox feel like?

A brief, fine pinch per injection. Most patients describe forehead Botox as the most tolerable cosmetic injectable. Topical numbing is available on request.

  • Can I work out after Botox?

Avoid vigorous exercise for the first four hours. Light walking is fine. Save your spin class or weightlifting for the next day.

  • What does Botox cost in NYC?

Pricing varies by indication, dosing, and treatment plan. We discuss your investment during consultation rather than publish a unit price — anatomy-driven dosing is not a per-unit commodity.

NEIGHBORHOODS WE SERVE

Serving patients across NYC from our Midtown flagship

Expand a neighborhood to see how Dr. Lanna's master-injector team supports patients in your area.

Manhattan

  • Greenwich Village

The F train at West Fourth lifts Greenwich Village residents to our Midtown flagship in roughly fifteen minutes — a handy commute for Botox between gallery openings and faculty office hours. Village patients tend to ask informed questions; Dr. Lanna's master injectors meet them with anatomically grounded answers about brow architecture, dose, and what Botox can honestly accomplish.

  • Harlem

Lenox Avenue brownstone owners and Harlem creatives ride the express trains downtown to our Midtown Manhattan med spa for Botox visits that finish in fifteen minutes. The neighborhood's deep cultural confidence shows up at consultation: Harlem patients want softening that still photographs as them, and Dr. Lanna's preserved-expression standard answers that brief precisely.

  • Hell's Kitchen

Roughly five blocks west of our front door, Hell's Kitchen wraps Restaurant Row, Broadway theaters, and the Hudson Yards corridor — and many residents simply walk over for Botox between matinees. With no commute math required, master-injector dosing slots cleanly between a callback and a curtain call. The chair-time itself runs about fifteen minutes.

  • Lower Manhattan

The 4/5/6 trains at Wall, Fulton, or Bowling Green deliver Lower Manhattan attorneys and traders to our Midtown flagship inside twenty minutes for Botox during the lull between markets close and dinner. The architecture-first dosing approach respects what FiDi clients already understand: precision rewards preparation. Same-day return on the Lex express keeps the calendar intact.

  • Midtown East

Midtown East offices sit within a quick crosstown walk of our 140 W 58th flagship — Botox is essentially a long lunch with a stop along the way. Dr. Lanna Aesthetics' master injectors map your forehead, glabella, and crow's feet against your real expressions, then dose to soften without flattening. Established patients can often grab same-day slots.

  • Upper East Side

Riding the Q or the 6 from the East 70s and 80s places Upper East Side patients at our Midtown med spa within fifteen minutes — and many simply walk south through Central Park when the weather behaves. The neighborhood's familiarity with Manhattan's top providers translates into honest dialogue about brow height, lid aperture, and what restraint looks like in real units.

  • Upper Manhattan

Inwood, Washington Heights, and Hudson Heights all sit a single 1, A, or C ride from Columbus Circle, putting Upper Manhattan residents at our Midtown flagship inside thirty minutes door-to-door. The trip earns its keep because face-mapping precedes the first unit — a sequence rarely offered closer to home and the reason Upper Manhattan patients come back every quarter for Botox.

  • Upper West Side

A Central Park crosswalk or a single 1-train hop carries Upper West Side patients from Lincoln Square or Riverside Drive to our Midtown med spa for Botox visits that wrap before school pickup. Master-injector dosing at Dr. Lanna Aesthetics keeps brow lift and smile dynamics intact, so the result reads as a good night's sleep rather than a treatment.

Queens

  • Astoria

The N and W tracks above 31st Street drop Astoria residents at 57th Street and Seventh in roughly fifteen minutes — a transit alignment that turns Botox into a manageable weekday errand. Astoria's tightly knit Greek, Latin, and creative-class community tends to prize technique over volume; Dr. Lanna's master injectors hold the same line. Catch the N home before evening service.

  • Ditmars Steinway

The N or W boarded at Astoria-Ditmars rides express through Queensboro to our Midtown Manhattan flagship in under twenty-five minutes — even from the line's northernmost stop, Botox here is a single-seat journey. The master-injector caliber simply isn't replicated closer to Steinway, which is why Ditmars patients travel south. Late-running N service supports evening returns.

  • Elmhurst

Elmhurst's 7-line stations at 82nd Street and 90th Street place patients at Times Square in twenty minutes, with a brief Midtown walk to our flagship for Botox. Dr. Lanna's master injectors treat facial architecture across every Fitzpatrick skin type — a calibration Elmhurst's South Asian, Latin, Chinese, and Filipino patient communities specifically seek out for safer, more honest pigmentation outcomes.

  • Forest Hills

The E and F express at 71st-Continental flies through Queens Boulevard and across the East River, landing Forest Hills patients minutes from our Midtown flagship for Botox visits that finish before lunch. The garden-apartment quiet of Forest Hills calls for results that don't announce themselves; Dr. Lanna's master-injector standard delivers exactly that restraint, dose by dose.

  • Jackson Heights

The 74th Street-Roosevelt hub feeds Jackson Heights riders onto the 7, E, F, M, or R, and any of them lands at our Midtown med spa in under thirty minutes for Botox by master injectors. The neighborhood's Colombian, Tibetan, Bangladeshi, and South Asian communities deserve injectors fluent in pigmented-skin protocols — Dr. Lanna's team has built that fluency over 10,000+ treatments.

Brooklyn

  • Bushwick

Boarding the L at Morgan, Jefferson, or DeKalb sets Bushwick residents at Union Square in fifteen minutes, then a quick transfer to the N or Q closes the door at our Midtown flagship for Botox. The neighborhood's loft-studio painters and warehouse-party regulars value craft you can recognize when you see it — Dr. Lanna Aesthetics' master injectors meet that standard chair-side.

  • Crown Heights

The 2 and 3 express stations at Franklin and Nostrand connect Crown Heights to our Midtown Manhattan med spa in under thirty minutes for Botox visits planned around the express's reliable schedule. Crown Heights' Caribbean and Black-American patient communities deserve master-injector dosing across the full pigmentation spectrum — Dr. Lanna's standard is calibrated exactly that way.

  • Greenpoint

The G train at Greenpoint Avenue or a short L transfer at Bedford carries Greenpoint patients into Midtown for Botox in roughly thirty minutes. The Polish-American and creative-class neighborhood blends old-world directness with new-money craft, which is also how the Dr. Lanna Aesthetics consultation reads: face mapped first, units placed second, no waste.

  • Sunset Park

The N, R, and D running beneath Fourth Avenue knit Sunset Park to Midtown in roughly half an hour — Botox at our flagship sits inside a single-seat ride from 36th Street or 59th Street stations. Dr. Lanna's master injectors apply the same anatomical precision regardless of skin tone, which matters in Sunset Park's deeply mixed Mexican, Chinese, and Caribbean medical aesthetics market.

  • Williamsburg

The Bedford L flies through three Brooklyn stops and three Manhattan stops before Union Square, where a quick transfer brings Williamsburg patients to our Midtown flagship for Botox. The neighborhood's design community recognizes restraint when it sees it, and Dr. Lanna Aesthetics holds that standard in every unit placed. The L returns home before the evening rush.

Bronx / Westchester

  • Bronx

The Henry Hudson and Major Deegan parkways feed the Bronx into the West Side Highway and FDR, dropping patients at our Midtown Manhattan med spa in under thirty minutes off-peak for Botox by master injectors. The borough's Bronx-bred resilience pairs well with the Dr. Lanna Aesthetics philosophy — show up, do the work properly, leave looking like the rested version of yourself.

  • Mt Vernon

Metro-North from Mt Vernon East or Mt Vernon West runs into Grand Central in under thirty minutes, and our Midtown flagship sits a short walk north for Botox with Dr. Lanna's master injectors. Westchester commuters already trace this route weekly; layering a fifteen-minute Botox visit onto a city errand turns the medical aesthetics calendar into something that fits real life.
